I'm eating a caramel apple. :)

Started the tour since 12.45pm and ended it around 11.30pm.

That's a god damn near 11 hours of walking non-stop, without relying on the tubes too.
It was really really really productive thanks to a most wonderful "tour guide"! :)

Below is the list of places I've visited in the 11 hours, in sequence:

  1. LSE's Library
  2. London's Eye
  3. Big Ben
  4. House of Parliament
  5. Prime Minister's House
  6. Buckingham Palace
  7. Green Park
  8. Trafalgar Square
  9. National Gallery
  10. Chinatown for Taiwanese dinner
  11. Royal Opera House
  12. Covent Garden
  13. A closing down Borders bookstore (Got 6 books for just £12!!!)
  14. Zhulian's flat
  15. Marble Arch
  16. Hyde Park's Christmas market
  17. Oxford Street stroll
  18. UCL

That's quite a lot. My feet hurt sooo much now.

But the caramel apple I got from the Christmas market soothes me.

Oh, the fancy hat too!

So I want to plunge from the above.

Took a 10-minute nap and headed towards William Leech Building.
Room L3.1 to be exact.
And that's where my SKIP interview was held.

Nothing very special about it actually.
Rather informal, like, he asked me some questions and I'll answer them.
Nothing much to judge about it I guess, but I know I didn't talk for much too long.
I can say that I was quite distracted by the fact that he was constantly writing down points that I've made.
So, I kept stopping subconsciously in order for him to be able to take his time to write.

As we have learnt from our PPD course, communication skills with patients are very important.
One of them is, making good eye contact.
And what happened to me just now was an obvious (poor) example.
I couldn't continue to go on crapping because it felt like he was just listening to the first half of what I had to tell him.
The way he was busy with writing down notes didn't encourage me to talk much.
So I always stop after only a few sentences.

Anyhow, it still served the purpose of me attending the interview.
Getting to know me a little bit more and to determine if I'm an ideal candidate to participate in the project.
Whatever the outcome, it won't affect me much I guess.

After all, I haven't inform my parents about my involvement in this yet.

And knowing my mom.... ...
(I don't think I care to elaborate more now... you figure.)

Cheers.

P.S. In the end, I'm still quite adamant about joining the skydiving society next year. No one must stop me. =____=
Especially not you, mom.

Revelations.

Ooooh, I'm so tempted to name things in this post so that when someone google it on the net, this website's URL would appear and lead them to the TRUTH.

The start of the meeting was so awkwardly silent. Everybody remained so quiet and was refusing to say anything at all. Well well, who else but me who broke the silent again. I don't mean to be arrogant, but I'm always the one who initiate things. First of all, I hate wasting time. Secondly, any output, however idiotic they are can be of some useful sense. Third, I'm not afraid and I don't feel ashamed of what I did and what I am. So for goodness sake, just speak up.

It's pathetic to have the chairperson keep repeating the question and nobody responded to him in any way. Even if it's something humiliating. We are not in Malaysia anymore so please do something about that "kiasu" and "kiasi" mentality.

I crap most of the time. I think so. However, I think it's still so much more better than sealing your mouth shut and unwilling to contribute. Oh but why, yea true, you might not have any good suggestions because you're ************************.

Babi.

This thing about Geordie accent, everybody has a problem with it, so what's so special about you having problems with the pregnant mom speaking Geordie to you. You're supposed to learn and get useeeee to it. And really, if you're that keen, go ahead and read the Dummy's Guide to Understanding Geordie Accent. It's not something that can be helped much.

You were in such a comfort zone back in Malaysia. Yet the fact that they're still accommodating you so much even in the UK, I find it so hard to comprehend. Haven't thought about this issue before, but someone raised it up during a private discussion among the four of us. The issue is: why make us all stay in couple flats? Like what she said, she obviously had already signed a contract for one of the nicest halls available. But because she is on this programme, she has to adhere fully to what the university require us to do. It's totally incomprehensible.

What's more, we're technically paying more than the average students on a normal full 5-year course in Newcastle. As long as I don't have a reasonable explanation for this, I will continue to complain about this forever.

Could have written a bit more, but I must not forget to say that the sandwich lunch was awesome! Especially the salmon and shrimp sandwich. Yummmmmyy!!!

HAHA.

Yes, now on to my assignment.

gg.

200th.

Was wanting to see the video yesterday, but the quality of the internet connection yesterday was crap.
Thus I only got to watch it this morning.

I want to describe my feelings after watching it.
But I don't know how.

Say, because there is nothing positive about it.
It was given a lot of positive comments, however, it wasn't like that for me.

How should I say it?
See, don't think anyone can see what's my point.

I give up..

But when I read this again, I'll know.

Settled on an Indian Cuisine.

We went round and round the whole place. Under the annoying rain.
Just when I decided I would go out for some fresh air and good food.

Tynemouth was the first place we wanted to check out.
But Pitcher and Piano was booked for a private function.
Screwed.
And yesterday Digital was booked for a private function as well.
Not that I went out with the gang last night.
But just so I want to mention the coincidence here.

This always happen.
Having to switch to Plan B.
Almost always.
Really.

So I said, let's go to the Lodge then!
We found the place, and was so glad to finally get some shed from the rain.
Went upstairs and got a good place.
Until Jorrel came back up and told us that their kitchen was already closed.

Perhaps we were really craving badly for a pleasant dinner.
So we got our lazy asses off the comfortable chair and loitered around a cross junction.
That's when I spotted our dining place.

Thali.

Not bad.

And what a rip off on my Rohan Gosht.
I hope I spelled that correctly.
Blardy.

Thanks Wen Shi for a bit of her Tandoori chicken.
Reaally tasty.

Paul, please save up for our next Marco Polo trip on Thursday.
Apparently I did enjoyed our crappy conversation just now.
Very confusing and pointless, but entertaining.

HAHAHA.

Flipped the coin. But what's for the Head and what's for the Tail?!

Well, I didn't see the point of me forcing myself to stay awake and walk through a cold weather just because there's a routine in me to go chill out on a Friday night.
No pun intended.
Not funny.

It's not like it has been a damn long or "rough" week. It's just that I felt the need to do something more interesting and exciting.

I've no idea how much I've been whining to everybody about how bored I am.

Fucking boring.

Oh yes it is.

Like what Hui Hui said the other day, there IS one very exciting item that I can work on.
What else but our Assignment 2.
Critical Appraisal!

No thanks.

I've did a rough draft.
Hopefully I can get it over with this weekend?

And my peer dad's e-mail came at no other better time.

CHEERS.

Let's Start With the White Course Next Time?? LOL.

My first time orienteering was super fail.
We were at Whitbarrow Scar, and that Sunday wasn't that good a day after all.
The weather was horrible with strong wind blowing and rain drizzling non-stop.
Made it so much harder to locate the flags, especially when they were all at ground level.
And, we didn't really know how to read the map and use the compass.

HAHA.

There were 13 control points but we only managed to find three.
And it was all aided by some kind people who stopped their run and led us to where we should find the next flag. Thank youuuu. We were so damn lost.
Paul kept running away from Jorrel and I too (in his Adidas casual sportswear, oh sadness). =_=
And those who helped us were pretty surprised that we took the Short Blue course considering that we were beginners.
Next time we go for this again, we shall take Orange or Green. Meh.

Still, this terrain was a hard one.
There weren't many prominent landmarks or something.
I did enjoyed running around in my new WHITE trainers and ruining them in a mixture of mud and cow pats.
Awesome.
The cows still moo wherever I am.

We went straight for the finishing point to download our results after Point 5.
Haha, we gave up and we didn't have anymore time too.
All courses closed at 14.30.
Thanks Sun for leaving his post so soon in the day. I don't like you anymore Sun. :(

So now, we are sooo fired up for any orienteering activity in the future.
Of course, we will be more prepared at that time unlike on Sunday which was a complete failure.
After one or two practices, we shall race against each other!

To the Right.

In my last post, I actually wanted to mention about how I still have my offers from University of Melbourne and University of Queensland. There, two available options. It just one of those "little" things that makes me think. Shrug.

Walking all the way from Monument to the Iceland in Fenham was no joy. Especially with the strong wind blowing at me constantly. I could have tripped a few times. But even when the wind calmed down a bit, I still managed to twist my left ankle twice. - two thumbs up -

And thank goodness my Assignment 1 was alright.

So now I'm just gonna wait for the Iceland delivery to come.
45.30pounds for 3 person. Reasonable yes?

Two More Weeks to A Happy Holiday.

Just finished my Critical Appraisal seminar. I have to say I quite enjoyed it. How not with an excellent PPD tutor and an interesting insight in determining a good article. There is a list of criteria, and they definitely make up a good and relevant article which makes sense. The crap article on BabyCheck that we had to analyse first, was shit. Obviously so because it was so hard to pick up what the authors were really trying to tell their audience. Interpretations of data was wrong, some information was obtained out of no where, no substantial explanation on what was what, very narrow context... It had all the rotten ingredients in it.

If compared with the second article we got regarding the relationship of "admissions for myocardial infarction and World Cup football".... Wait, I don't even want to compare them. The first article was rubbish, that's all. So I feel quite prepare to tackle my Assignment 2 already. I'm happy I have a really loose schedule till the holiday to complete that assignment.

Assignment 1 was supposed to be returned tomorrow but an e-mail notification stated otherwise. We are gonna get them back one day later. But why don't they just throw them all away into the dumpss... I don't want my essays back!!!

Plus the ethics debate tomorrow, and the second family visit (Hi Emma!!), and a house warming party at Spital Tongue. For the last event, only if people I know are going and are willing to wait for me to return from my family visit. Like say, 8.30pm?!?! It's a Tuesday night! Haha!

And no shit, I still have a family presentation on Friday to be concerned about. The grouping was really biased and the tutor did nothing to help with the situation. How ugly.

No thank you to the cold weather too. I'm hungry all the time. I eat all the time. I drink all the time. I'm gonna grow hugeeee in no time! Especially when I'm extremely stingy with spending my money on the Sports Centre membership and paying for the gym facilities. Then again, if I join it, I could participate in those street dance or break dance classes to sweat it out once a while.

Oh well. That's quite a lot of information up there. For once ever since I set foot in Newcastle. There you go.

Have I mentioned? Sunday lunch with Jorrel and Kington was fantastic! And whatever we talked about at The Bridge Hotel over Brown Ales and FUDGES. They were delicious! Too bad I missed out on the dinner at Cheeky Duck (AGAIN............) just before Kington left on the train back to Leeds.

Wellll, before a forthcoming Leeds trip, there will be my first ever Wilderness Medicine orienteering event on Sunday!!!!!!!! I'm quite excited about it! WOOTS! Physical!!

5 miles SW of Kendal in Whitbarrow!
Only 20 of us!
Here I come!

Cheers!!

Alles gute zum Geburtstag!

It's a shame that I'm not updating my blog as often as I can.

Quite a couple of fun things happened during the weekends.
Wasted.
Not entirely either coz I'm a good girl and I kept myself in good control.
Like. Seriously.
Hehehe.
Gotta be proud of me okayy.
Study hard and play hard at the same time.
That's the way.

And all the more satisfying, I wanna thanks Dat Han a million gazillion times for helping me with making my London trip possible!!!
SOBS.
THANK YOU DAT HAN.

THANK YOU KENNY for the hitler joke.
LOL.

THANK YOU SANIYA for listening to my story.
LOL.

Last but not least, no thank you to WEI KEEN for all the teasesss.
HAHAHA.
Just kidding mate!

And worm too, chill it out with Satish.
HAHAHA. Coz I don't get the connection or you just love Satish too much.
AWWWWW.
Later Nick becomes jealous. >:O

These all just happened.
That's right, I just came back from Ka Liang's flat feeling totally awesome.
And now I'm considering lunch at Chinatown.
Otherwise I will just want to stay in my flat and sleep off the day.

Probably the latter would be what I want subconsciously??

And Evan.
As the title says:
"Alles gute zum Geburtstag!"
I hope it's correct!!!
Love you so much.

And please don't be disappointed yet okay!!!
Like I said in it, REAL DEAL COMING SOON.
AS SOOOOON AS WE MEET EACH OTHER IN UK.
NEXT WILL BE MY TRIP TO LAND OF WEINER!

MUAX!

Waking Up!

xD

Righttttt.
I saw what you wrote on my wall, Hui Yi.
But I don't think I'm gonna write about that just yet.
For the mean time, I'm just too exhausted.
Mentally and physically.

All I can say is.
We had a good time.
And it's never enough.
I sorta regret the fact that I was so busy all the way until Thursday.
I wish everything has been more organized and each day you spent can be more productive.

But then again, it was a wonderful week.

Am really satisfied that, I got you something in the end anyhow.
The last minute purchase.
Glad you like it.
=]

And like, once again I'm reminded that I won't be seeing my close friends for years.
That really made me felt depressed.

I wonder how long I'll keep saying this:

I miss all of you so much!

So Perhaps.

It's really quite boring.

Worse.

With bits of tension here and there.

The awkwardness.

The piling stress.

It's so quiet.

Perhaps.

I like the mamak life better.

i'm the bitch.

So I said in my previous post:
What's the chance of her having something so similar to what I am looking for??

There really is that chance.
However slim it is.

The very similar next to same thing.
That's it.

I admit it's my terrible fault this time.
Fortunately I didn't say anything to her.
Have already suspected that very slim possibility when I saw her matching pearl earrings.

And yes, ultimately, it's there.
Like woa, we bond.
Yea hell, totally bond.
We have identical necklaces with a pearl pendant.

And not forget, thanks to Hui Hui and Ka Liang for helping me look for the necklace.
I thrashed the place, pretty sure by now, people will know I'm not someone to simply mess with.
Dangerous Paik Hwa.

Yea right, I agree with Ka Liang, Paul really has the imagination.
Yea, thanks for teaching me about how I should act. LOL.
Yea, genius Hui Hui is the one who found it.

And.
No thanks to me and all my evilness.

I'm sorry Roomie.
:(

But.
I bought extra kitchen towels and toilet rolls for us!!!!

=D

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

bitch.

Cannot resist writing up another new post today.

Yes.
I've been damn good looking for my pearl necklace for days and now weeks.

And on this one faithful day, I found it.
Around somebody else's neck.

What the Fuck.

Darling roomie. You suck big time.

Given, what's the chance of her having something soo fucking similar to what I am LOOKING FOR. OH FOR - SO GOODNESS SAKE, - LONG.

I'm looking for a pearl necklace:

The pendant is just this oval shaped white pearl.
CHECK.
The necklace is silver.
CHECK.
The lock is a circle.
CHECK.
The length of the necklace is exactly what I presume it as.
CHECK.

And she's wearing it.
S.tuck asked a good question:
"How the hell did she even got hold of it?!?!?!"

You do not know how pissed I am right now.
I'm already formulating so damn many plans in my head now to execute it on her.
Whatever the plan or method is, the ultimate objective is to make her feel too damn guilty, make her have plentiful of sleepless nights, make her fear and panic easily, and for god's sake, breaking every "RULES" that she has given me due to her religion purposes.

I've tolerate as much, SINCE THE BEGINNING.
But, this is called THEFT.
A much bigger sin than stepping over the place you pray in my shoes.
You think?!
Don't even start arguing that thieving is not as serious as stepping over places with my shit-filled SHOES.
And, I'm gonna stuff more HAM into the fridge.

This is.
UNFORGIVABLE.

You're so dead man.

Told'ya It's Gonna Expire Soon. Idiot.

"I just wanna say. Your Macbook blends in well with your table..."

Yep, posted on your facebook wall already.
hehehe.

And awesome, you have so many awesome pictures while I have almost next to none.
The strange thing about us students coming here was, we never really have the mood to take photos.
I only have a few to show.
But yea, as usual, I'm a major retard when it comes to uploading photos to Facebook and such and whatnot.

I'm still quite satisfied with how I am.

And yea, the me right now, a bit anti-social.
But, I'm lovinnnng it!!!

"I'm sleeping...."
hahaha.
Sorry but yea, I was sleeping!

The 5 days in Ricky Road.

Too much to say.
No idea how to start.
No idea how to end.

Long story short.

It's goodnight everyone.

Yes, that's how tired out I am.

Cheers mate.

I had a wonderful birthday this year.
Thanks to all who had celebrated it with me.
Claire, Evan, Su Wen, Nick, Wei Ming, Jack, Seng Tuck, Edwyn, Wei Jin and Kit.
I feel so much love.

And E.V please don't cry, we both know that males are quite the idiots sometimes.
Sometimes. =]
So I won't have to bring blunt scissors for you tonight at the airport.

And Claire, I will be calling you tonight before my flight.
We will talk for hours on the phone.
I won't let you sleep! >_<

sobs...

Now 5 person know what the present is and I am still clueless about it.

So many Farewells, and still not enough of them. Sniffs.

It's already the 10th. Wow.
First of all,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRIYA!

It has been a very busy 4-week period.
Meeting up with everybody I can.
Spending as much time as I can with everybody.

So, A52B gathered for a dinner at Souled Out and went to Soho KL after that.
Some of us couldn't make it for the dinner, while some of us went home after the dinner.
Whatever it was, I enjoyed every moment of it.
Everyone was the same old person they were, except much, much prettier and the guys even better-looking. =]
Or I'm just missing you guys too much!

I will never forget all the time we have spent with each other.
From lectures in HELP, birthday celebrations, trip to Lang Tengah, the BIG cookout, karaokes and many more outings we'd had.

Good job everyone!
Nice knowing all of you!

Let's build our own hospital next time too!
And Hui Yi MUST be the one to design our smecking sexyy hospital uniforms and the hospital itself too!!
HAHAHA.

Lots of lovess.

Just As i Love MNG.

My youngest brother is like some kind of a weapon master.
He knows so many weapon models, from pistols, rifles, snipers, machine guns, sub-machine guns to shotguns (and silencer parts).
Other than those, he knows a few helicopter models too.
Only knowing model types probably ain't too fascinating, he knows the type of bullet used for each and how they function.

Well, at least that's a lot for me.
And for someone his age.
He watches the History channel, those series about fighter jets and wars and stuffs.
Guess that's what a boy likes after all.

Because I've been listening to him, teaching me all about guns and helicopters during the entire time we were in the car,
Travelling up and down Batu Arang, KLCC, PWTC, BSD and Menjalara.
He was a very very enthusiastic teacher.
He taught me about Grenadiers and freaking mortars.
Impressed. Quite.

I wasn't able to keep this up as a hobby, so I'm really glad that he's doing it.

My youngest brother who is very much like me.
Love you dearly.

Madness Indeed.

Monday - OU around 5pm until 9pm.

Tuesday - OU around 5pm until 9pm. Then, Rasta around 9.15pm to 9.45pm.

Wednesday - Visa application submission at Wisma MCA at Jalan Ampang from 8am to 9am.

Funny thing was, Evan arrived first by train, I arrived second by driving myself, Claire arrived third by cabbie, and Worm arrived last by being drove to MV. The many modes of transport. Sweet. I enjoyed the shopping trip, it was really fun. =]

Thursday - Grandma coming over to gimme big angpau. Muahahahahha. Yea, guess what. Went OU to shop again. Splurged! Started taking out everything for packing...

Friday - Su Wen's birthday lunch at Bijou, Mont Kiara. Awesome food they have! But I became full a bit too quickly.

Saturday - Stephanie's birthday lunch at DPC?? Hope we can go to OU later? I know we are supposed to go for BBQ Plaza. :(

Sunday - As always, visit Grandma day.

Monday - MERDEKAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
That equals Family Day.

Don't Be So F Annoying.

I'm going there for you
your sake
for you
your sake.

So please now stfu and let me do as I please.

I'm a god damn spoiled brat.
Yes, let me be.

Now the main point is.
Please let me ****ing go on my own.
I know how parents are worry sick especially if that's a daughter.
Announce that I am ****ing lesbian and
I should seriously consider *** change and
After that, I can be gay.

Think Win Win.

There.

Okay, on a more polite tone (and a humane one)(and a proper one)
(and a decent one).
Mommy please, it's alright, I can handle things on my own.
I'm not afraid of anything.
AT ALL.
So bring it on.

Shouldn't have freaking let her watch that "Taken" movie.

*PS. I know I'm not being the filial child I should be, but smuck it.
O K?
I am who I am after all.
No one, can change it.
So mom will probably think I'm a doomed person.
Jackpot.

It's supposed to be PINK.

Yes.
Someone should have worn pink, but he went with white instead.
Colour blind!
Dx

Ahaha.
Today was interesting.

I first headed over to Mabecs office in PJ to show them my results slip.
Asked some questions regarding my departure to Newcastle, got them answered, grabbed a few items for extra reading about Newcastle and left.
Tada, buhbye.

But oh no, I didn't ask her about the room type in Newcastle.
I think it's the standard one, without a washbasin, even.
Naturally that sucks for me.
This princess has very sensitive skin.
Ahem.

After that, I'm all knocked out doing nuthing at my dad's office. =]
Okay, I actually flipped through a few pages of Lisey's Story AFTER I woke up.
Usually it would have been the other way round.
Life is so... "unpredictable"...

We left for The Royal Selangor Golf Club around 1.20pm I suppose.
I thought I was going to be late, with the rain and the malfunctioned traffic light and all (I meant brainless drivers).
Anyhow still got there around 20 minutes before 2pm.
Fair enough. =]

So many of them are doing Law, a few Medicine, two students studying the very interesting subject, Geology, few Engineering courses, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science and yes, me for Psychology.
I initially thought I'm the only one doing that, but surprise!
Melissa Yap, a primary school friend of mine, who knows Eddie because they were in the same secondary school, just might end up studying in the same university with me.
JUST. MIGHT.

Which, at this stage, I think is quite impossible.
I've decided, long ago.
I'm just, very reluctant to bring myself to say those actual words and tell it to my parents.
It's dreadful for me because

It felt as if I had betrayed myself.

OOPPHH. (Just got punched.)

Let's recall this fascinating event back from last Friday.
The story of 14th of August, 2009.

Nurse:
Please loosen your belt and unbutton your pants.
Me :
I am supposed to take off my pants?
Nurse:
OH NO NO.
Me thinks:
Is it so hard to tell me FIRSTLY that I'm getting a jab NOW?!

Turned me over and I got a jab above my bottom right cheek.

Doctor:
It'll help your skin to heal faster.
Me thinks:
Oooh ditto. I can feel its power already. BURNING!!

The ending stinks a lot.
However.

Pray or wish.
Don't think it's gonna change anything.

Just please report yourself to me soon.

That's all I'm asking.

So.
Thank you.
You shit.

Calling for Serenity?

Nothing amuses me.
So either excel at it or scram before me.

Japanese musics are still the most soothing tunes to my ears.
Never bored me out, ever.

&&&

I've got the chance to be lovey dovey with mom and youngest bro today.
I chomped down nearly 10 rolls of homemade popiah.
Entirely homemade.
Entirely.

They were for lunch AND dinner.
Yummy.

Looking forward to tomorrow. =]

pro bono publico!!!!

If only I can tweet about this.
Okay, I mean Twitter.

I'll be finishing "The Monster of Florence" soon.
But since I'm on my beloved laptop, I would like to tell everyone that I am massively annoyed at the interrogation method of brainless judges and inspectors.

If they expect ONLY the kind of results they wanted in the first damned place, why bother wasting their breath shooting questions at their victims ever so harshly. Whatever was told as a truth, they will eventually bend them sinful.

I think you are just a pathetic craftsman, weaving stories out of invisible threads.

So what's with this showcase of tremendous effort to capture the "monster".

So W T F.

P.S. I guess it happens everywhere else.
