I'm eating a caramel apple. :)

Started the tour since 12.45pm and ended it around 11.30pm.

That's a god damn near 11 hours of walking non-stop, without relying on the tubes too.
It was really really really productive thanks to a most wonderful "tour guide"! :)

Below is the list of places I've visited in the 11 hours, in sequence:

  1. LSE's Library
  2. London's Eye
  3. Big Ben
  4. House of Parliament
  5. Prime Minister's House
  6. Buckingham Palace
  7. Green Park
  8. Trafalgar Square
  9. National Gallery
  10. Chinatown for Taiwanese dinner
  11. Royal Opera House
  12. Covent Garden
  13. A closing down Borders bookstore (Got 6 books for just £12!!!)
  14. Zhulian's flat
  15. Marble Arch
  16. Hyde Park's Christmas market
  17. Oxford Street stroll
  18. UCL

That's quite a lot. My feet hurt sooo much now.

But the caramel apple I got from the Christmas market soothes me.

Oh, the fancy hat too!

So I want to plunge from the above.

Took a 10-minute nap and headed towards William Leech Building.
Room L3.1 to be exact.
And that's where my SKIP interview was held.

Nothing very special about it actually.
Rather informal, like, he asked me some questions and I'll answer them.
Nothing much to judge about it I guess, but I know I didn't talk for much too long.
I can say that I was quite distracted by the fact that he was constantly writing down points that I've made.
So, I kept stopping subconsciously in order for him to be able to take his time to write.

As we have learnt from our PPD course, communication skills with patients are very important.
One of them is, making good eye contact.
And what happened to me just now was an obvious (poor) example.
I couldn't continue to go on crapping because it felt like he was just listening to the first half of what I had to tell him.
The way he was busy with writing down notes didn't encourage me to talk much.
So I always stop after only a few sentences.

Anyhow, it still served the purpose of me attending the interview.
Getting to know me a little bit more and to determine if I'm an ideal candidate to participate in the project.
Whatever the outcome, it won't affect me much I guess.

After all, I haven't inform my parents about my involvement in this yet.

And knowing my mom.... ...
(I don't think I care to elaborate more now... you figure.)

Cheers.

P.S. In the end, I'm still quite adamant about joining the skydiving society next year. No one must stop me. =____=
Especially not you, mom.

Revelations.

Ooooh, I'm so tempted to name things in this post so that when someone google it on the net, this website's URL would appear and lead them to the TRUTH.

The start of the meeting was so awkwardly silent. Everybody remained so quiet and was refusing to say anything at all. Well well, who else but me who broke the silent again. I don't mean to be arrogant, but I'm always the one who initiate things. First of all, I hate wasting time. Secondly, any output, however idiotic they are can be of some useful sense. Third, I'm not afraid and I don't feel ashamed of what I did and what I am. So for goodness sake, just speak up.

It's pathetic to have the chairperson keep repeating the question and nobody responded to him in any way. Even if it's something humiliating. We are not in Malaysia anymore so please do something about that "kiasu" and "kiasi" mentality.

I crap most of the time. I think so. However, I think it's still so much more better than sealing your mouth shut and unwilling to contribute. Oh but why, yea true, you might not have any good suggestions because you're ************************.

Babi.

This thing about Geordie accent, everybody has a problem with it, so what's so special about you having problems with the pregnant mom speaking Geordie to you. You're supposed to learn and get useeeee to it. And really, if you're that keen, go ahead and read the Dummy's Guide to Understanding Geordie Accent. It's not something that can be helped much.

You were in such a comfort zone back in Malaysia. Yet the fact that they're still accommodating you so much even in the UK, I find it so hard to comprehend. Haven't thought about this issue before, but someone raised it up during a private discussion among the four of us. The issue is: why make us all stay in couple flats? Like what she said, she obviously had already signed a contract for one of the nicest halls available. But because she is on this programme, she has to adhere fully to what the university require us to do. It's totally incomprehensible.

What's more, we're technically paying more than the average students on a normal full 5-year course in Newcastle. As long as I don't have a reasonable explanation for this, I will continue to complain about this forever.

Could have written a bit more, but I must not forget to say that the sandwich lunch was awesome! Especially the salmon and shrimp sandwich. Yummmmmyy!!!

HAHA.

Yes, now on to my assignment.

200th.

Was wanting to see the video yesterday, but the quality of the internet connection yesterday was crap.
Thus I only got to watch it this morning.

I want to describe my feelings after watching it.
But I don't know how.

Say, because there is nothing positive about it.
It was given a lot of positive comments, however, it wasn't like that for me.

How should I say it?
See, don't think anyone can see what's my point.

I give up..

But when I read this again, I'll know.

Settled on an Indian Cuisine.

We went round and round the whole place. Under the annoying rain.
Just when I decided I would go out for some fresh air and good food.

Tynemouth was the first place we wanted to check out.
But Pitcher and Piano was booked for a private function.
Screwed.
And yesterday Digital was booked for a private function as well.
Not that I went out with the gang last night.
But just so I want to mention the coincidence here.

This always happen.
Having to switch to Plan B.
Almost always.
Really.

So I said, let's go to the Lodge then!
We found the place, and was so glad to finally get some shed from the rain.
Went upstairs and got a good place.
Until Jorrel came back up and told us that their kitchen was already closed.

Perhaps we were really craving badly for a pleasant dinner.
So we got our lazy asses off the comfortable chair and loitered around a cross junction.
That's when I spotted our dining place.

Thali.

Not bad.

And what a rip off on my Rohan Gosht.
I hope I spelled that correctly.
Blardy.

Thanks Wen Shi for a bit of her Tandoori chicken.
Reaally tasty.

Paul, please save up for our next Marco Polo trip on Thursday.
Apparently I did enjoyed our crappy conversation just now.
Very confusing and pointless, but entertaining.

HAHAHA.

Flipped the coin. But what's for the Head and what's for the Tail?!

Well, I didn't see the point of me forcing myself to stay awake and walk through a cold weather just because there's a routine in me to go chill out on a Friday night.
No pun intended.
Not funny.

It's not like it has been a damn long or "rough" week. It's just that I felt the need to do something more interesting and exciting.

I've no idea how much I've been whining to everybody about how bored I am.

Fucking boring.

Oh yes it is.

Like what Hui Hui said the other day, there IS one very exciting item that I can work on.
What else but our Assignment 2.
Critical Appraisal!

No thanks.

I've did a rough draft.
Hopefully I can get it over with this weekend?

And my peer dad's e-mail came at no other better time.

CHEERS.
